What's included
A planner for the school year, built around the parts that aren't the lesson.
The lesson is the part of teaching you planned for. The rest (the parent who needs a call back, the meeting that moved, the report that is due Friday) is what fills the half-hour you were counting on. The Teachers Kit puts all of it in one rearrangeable notebook.
Pre-order: this kit ships about December 10, 2026. Free shipping on US orders of $75 or more.
Everything you need to start
Daily pages with a calendar view for periods, duties and meetings and a priority task tracker. Meeting Summary pages for conferences, staff meetings and conversations. A Project Tracker for units, events and report cycles, the 2027/2028 calendar that includes the whole 2027-28 school year, a Brain Dump for after the bell, a Reading List for professional or class reading, and ruled and dotted pages for lesson notes, seating charts and unit maps.
A setup you can customize over time
Everything except the calendar is undated, so you can start the week after the school year starts, skip a holiday without guilt and rearrange when the timetable changes. Pages lift off the discs: take a unit's pages to a planning meeting, file a finished term, or add a new tab for a new class. More refills are available in the store.
The system behind the pages
Your Perfect Notebook already includes the Big Blocks Dashboards in three layouts, the Daily Task Manager and the Reflection Page. Use the dashboard to hold one professional goal for the term and one that is only yours, then the Reflection Page at the end of a two-week cycle for what worked in class and what you would change.
Why the kit, and not just the notebook
- Parent and staff conversations get a written record. Meeting Summary pages make it quick to write down what was agreed before the next class starts.
- A full school year fits on the calendar. The 2027/2028 calendar covers January 2027 through December 2028, which includes the whole 2027-28 school year.
- It is a teacher's setup in one order. Daily planning, projects, conferences and sorting your head are already chosen and fit together.
- A paper record next to the official systems. Your school's systems remain the record of truth; this is your own working notebook.
- Flags for the half-hour that disappears. Sticky flags mark grading, calls to return and pages to come back to.

The system behind the pages
What you start with
Daily pages with a calendar view for periods, duties and meetings and a priority task tracker. Meeting Summary pages for conferences, staff meetings and conversations. The Icons Method — how progress tracking works
Every Big Block category has its own symbol — the sword in the stone for professional goals, the pinwheel for fun & recreation, the heart for relationships, the racket for body time, the sprout for personal growth, and the crossed tools for skill building. They appear in two places: at the top of every Daily Task Manager page, and in rows of ten under every goal on the Big Blocks Dashboard.
Step 1 — the daily page
In the morning, circle the icons of the one or two goals you really want to advance today — not all six. That circle is a commitment. Then, during the day, colour the icon the moment you finish the step — the small, immediate reward for a step actually taken.
Step 2 — the dashboard
Colour one icon in the row under the matching goal for each real step you took — only on the day you did it, never from memory. The empty icons are the point: three empty icons mean three days you did nothing on that subject. That's information, not decoration.
Reading the rows
Rows that fill quickly show where your energy naturally flows. Rows that stay empty are the method's most valuable output — a mid-cycle signal while there's still time to act. Ten is not the target; it's room to grow. See the full icon language →
